Ther was also the humourous and legendary 3 Wise Men Show which use to broadcast every Wednesday night from about 11pm -4am. The 3 Wise Men originally consisted of DJ Yardie, Mike T, and Marky Mark. Mark Marks spot would late on be taken by DJ Smasherelly.
Bassline 97.9FM disappeared around 2004. I am not too sure of the circumstances that led to their demise.
At one point there was talk of them broadcasting soley on the internet. They were in the process of setting up their online site Bassline World, however sadly it never launched.

The popular broadcaster rose to prominence thanks to his radio talk show "Rice n Peas" on London Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) in the 1970s and 80s.
With his show Rice 'n' Peas, he targeted the West Indian community in Britain and used his show show to educate. He was very concerned that the second and third generations of black Britons should see themselves as British, whilst maintaining a strong sense of their Caribbean background
The eldest pf six children, Jamiacan-born Burke was a graduate of Cornwall College, the elite boy's school in Montego Bay, and when his family moved to Kingston, he attended Excelsior High School, where he excelled and became Head Boy.
He went on to become a media trainer, photojournalist and celebrity photographer, and trained as an Engineer in Jamaica, before coming to the UK in 1960 to study Photography at North London Polytechnic.
He later enjoyed notoriety for his radio show and after leaving LBC, he ran a training programme for young broadcasters all over the country.
Burke was predeceased by his wife Veronica in 2002. He leaves behind three sons.
